About the event
This group is all about conversation, not perfection! Forget grammar drills—we’ll focus on fun activities, essential phrases, and casual discussions that help you make friends while building confidence. Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level, and you’ll find a warm, encouraging space where participation is celebrated.
Here’s what you can expect in each session:
Break-the-ice activity: Start by introducing yourself and getting to know others.
Learn phrases: Practice common phrases through interactive role-playing in small groups, using questions and answers to enhance conversation skills.
Breakfast break: Enjoy delicious food while connecting with others—entirely in Spanish!
Casual discussions: Engage in conversations about excerpts from poems, books, or articles, explore current events, and share community experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to express your personal views on parenting topics and offer suggestions or advice in Spanish.
Fun activities: Play traditional games like Lotería or Basta, sing Spanish songs, and watch short, engaging Spanish reels to spark conversations.
Take-home task: A simple activity to continue practicing and exploring Spanish between sessions.
The sessions will weave in Latin culture and Hispanic literature, creating a deeper, more immersive experience. These sessions are designed to help you gain confidence in your Spanish skills while embracing the culture your children are learning.
The goal is simple, to strengthen your connection with your children’s language journey and foster a strong, supportive community of parents.
