UPCOMING EVENTS
Spanish Conversation for Parents (new)
These sessions are designed as a parent-to-parent Spanish conversational circle led by a bilingual mom with children in the Dual Language Immersion program. The goal? To create meaningful connections and a supportive community while practicing Spanish in a relaxed, fun environment.
Reading Buddies
Volunteers read in their dominant language to participants whose primary language is opposite theirs. Build confidence, sharpen listening skills, boost imagination and vocabulary, and make friends! A complimentary light meal is served before each session.
(RSVP not required but helps for food estimate.)
¡Divertimos! and ¡Divertimos Viajando! (new)
Drop-in, twice-weekly sessions featuring Spanish games, conversation, and other fun group activities, led by a native Spanish speaker. Dual Language Immersion students and those wanting to learn Spanish: This is for you! Snacks are provided.
Introducing ¡Divertimos Viajando!, a unique experience where we will transport ourselves and dive into the culture of Spanish-speaking countries. Starting on Fridays in January!
(RSVP not required but helps for preparation.)
Witty Writers
A welcoming, cozy gathering for writers, nonwriters, and in-the-closet writers! An award-winning local author and a youth writer for Neighbors of Park City and Neighbors of Heber Valley magazines will facilitate each workshop, with 2-3 guest speakers enlisted for each 6-week session. Each witty writer will contribute their work to a published compilation and have the opportunity to participate in a spoken-word performance for our community.
